One of the more unbelievable stories emerging from the Texas Legislature’s epic efforts to pass antiabortion legislation was a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety saying that police had confiscated 18 jars of feces and urine from protesters trying to enter the state capitol building. Incredulous investigators have since been trying to track down the source of the story at the Texas DPS.
State Rep Donna Howard (D) and reporters from the Express News, have requested evidence of the allegations from DPS Director Steve McCraw. So far no response.
Something about this story just doesn’t smell right. Stay tuned.
