I was searching for local Houston news to track Harvey developments — all my family still live there. I ran across a livestream from Peacock Communications of the Houston Fox affiliate. They feature a live chat feature with the livestream.
I was appalled to see nonstop race-baiting, nazi, KKK hate posts there. Checked another Houston station and it was much better. Some of the posts appear to originate from Europe.
We need to keep an eye on this. As Houston begins clean up and reconstruction, the hatemongers will be active.
My heart goes out to all in Houston and surrounding areas. Hang in there. Your response so far makes me proud to say I’m from Houston, even though I live elsewhere now.
